Bataleon snowboards is a high-end snowboard brand from Norway. What makes Bataleon snowboards special is their construction based on the patented Triple Base Technology (TBT), which all Bataleon boards have. The Triple Base board is flat between the bindings and along the center towards the tip and tail. Along the edges of the tip and tail sections, the core is raised from 0 to a maximum of 3.5 degrees. The largest angle is of course where the tip and tail are widest. In this case, the edge has only 40% contact with the surface when riding straight (when it is least needed) and full contact when turning and cutting turns (when it is most needed). There is a logical reason why Triple Base boards have the exact shape we give them. This shape is the dynamic shape of the board. Torsional forces will shape a flat board into exactly this same shape when you ride it. A board with Triple Base has the natural shape of the board in motion.
