Slash Floater 153 - 2nd Hand Snowboard

The Slash Floater features a Flat Camber profile and set back shape to let you steer from the rear and plow through fresh snow. Back after years!! It's having a larger nose for ample float and subtle rocker from the front binding forward makes it easy to keep the tips up. The tail has a mild swallowtail shape and slight rocker naturally sinks for an easier, more balanced riding position in steep and deep terrain. Its low profile and singular sidecut make the Floater the board of choice for carving kings and off piste protagonists alike.

PROFILE

 

  • Flat to Early Rise Camber
    Floats better in powder compared to traditional camber, while still having a loose, playful feel with maintained edge control.
  • Float Inserts
    An extra set of float inserts with heavy setback for the extreme powder days.
  • Singular Sidecut
    A predictable and powerful sidecut with a single radius that makes for consistent turns. It’s ideal for intermediate and advanced riders who already know how to carve a turn, like to ride fast, and desire strong edge hold.

 

CORE

 

  • Pop Woodcore
    Built with poplar and bolstered with beech and spruce stringers. Beech hardwood strips are laid through the inserts from tip to tail for power transfer and a sturdy frame. The spruce from tip to tail just outside the inserts adds increased pop and precision.

 

REINFORCEMENTS

 

  • Bi-ax
    Bi-ax fiberglass is a two-way weave of fiberglass with strands running every 90-degrees. It’s more forgiving, easier to flex and highly versatile for all terrain types.
  • Carbonbon
    Pure carbon fiber slabs placed in a cross pattern under the inserts between the base and the core to enhance responsiveness, pop, torsional stiffness and amplify foot movement.

 

BASE

 

  • Sintered HD Base 7500
    The fastest and hardest sintered base from Slash. It provides the most impact resistant surface available and its highdensity molecular structure holds wax longer for sustained speeds.

 

  • Diamond Stone Finish
    Slash adds a slight diamond-structured stone grind to the base to maximize glide and optimize durability. It eliminates the slow, suction cup feel that comes with one dimensional base finishes.
  • Factory Wax
    All Slash boards are factory waxed with OneBallJay wax and ready to shred straight out of the wrapper.

 

SIDEWALL & EDGES

 

  • Ultimate Traction
    This small counter radius (bump) placed in the middle of the board’s sidecut improves edge hold without creating drag or strange edge grip. It adds extra bite on ice and turns regular turns into confident carves.
  • Edges
    Slash builds their edges with 35% more steel content than average. They are simply stronger and more durable than the alternative.
